Instagram Connection Issues
Having trouble connecting your Instagram account to Infloq? This guide helps you resolve the most common connection problems.
Problem: "Connection Failed" or "Authorization Error"
Symptoms:
- Can't connect Instagram account
- Getting "authorization failed" message
- Connection appears to work but doesn't save
Most Common Cause: This usually happens when you previously attempted to connect your Instagram account but the connection was interrupted or failed. Instagram may still have cached authorization data that conflicts with new connection attempts.
Solution: Clear Instagram App Permissions
Follow these steps to reset your Instagram permissions:

Open Instagram on your device or web browser

Go to Instagram Settings
- On mobile: Tap your profile → Menu (≡) → Settings and privacy
- On web: Go to instagram.com/accounts/manage_access/

Access Website Permissions
- Mobile: Settings and privacy → Website permissions
- Web: You're already on the right page

Remove Infloq Authorization
- Look for "Infloq" in the list of authorized apps
- Tap/click on it and select "Remove access"
- Confirm the removal

Try Connecting Again
- Go back to Infloq
- Navigate to your integration settings
- Click "Connect Instagram" again
- Complete the authorization process

Other Common Issues
Issue: Instagram Business Account Required
Problem: You're trying to connect a personal Instagram account Solution: Convert your Instagram account to a Business or Creator account:

- Choose "Switch to professional account"

- Complete the setup process
